This Privacy Policy explains how GPA Calculator (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you visit gpacalculatorr.online (the “Site”). We respect your privacy and collect as little as possible.
1. Information you enter into our calculators
Course names, grades, credits and GPA figures you enter into our calculators are processed entirely in your web browser. They are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. They are cleared when you leave or refresh the page.
1a. Snow Day Calculator: weather and location data
When you use our Snow Day Calculator, the ZIP code or city you type is sent directly from your browser to Zippopotam.us to find its coordinates, and those coordinates (or your approximate location, if you choose “Use my location”) are sent to the U.S. National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) to look up the forecast. Your browser will ask your permission before sharing your location. We do not receive or store this information on our servers. These services’ own terms and privacy practices apply to these requests.
2. Information you send us
If you contact us through our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use this only to respond to you and keep it only as long as needed for that purpose.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of the request. This is used for security, troubleshooting and performance, and is retained for a limited period.
4. Cookies
We use cookies needed for the Site to work, and our advertising partners (including Google) use cookies to serve and measure ads, as described in section 5. Please see our Cookie Policy for details.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this Site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in the EU, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this Site through Google’s ad technology. A list of these vendors is available in Google’s ad technology providers list, and you can opt out of their personalized-ad cookies through the links above where they offer this.
Where required by law (for example, for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time. We do not currently use third-party analytics services. If we add any, we will update this policy.
6. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site (such as our hosting provider), or when required by law.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS encryption, to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in the EU/UK and the CCPA/CPRA in California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to its processing. To make a request, use our contact page.
9. Children’s privacy
Our Site is intended for a general audience of students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
